Aloha!
When my husband and I moved to Hawaiʻi, we were spent, having given all to a very successful nonprofit organization that we co-founded. We loved almost every moment of that journey, and it was time for a new adventure. We spent the first months sleeping and eating, hiking and exploring our new home. It was then that I picked up my old camera reigniting a passion for photography and discovering a new passion for birding.
Several people have asked - why Stickman Hawaiʻi? Because when arrived on the island, that's how we felt. With each image, each hike, each adventure, we are adding meat back to our bones.
Not only am I privileged to see, document, and share these beautiful birds, but I also have the opportunity to support my community. All of my prints - metal, paper, note cards - are made expertly at Island Photo in my hometown of Pāhoa. Creature of Hawaiʻi, printed in Hawaiʻi with aloha!
Cheers, Kathleen
