What are we celebrating?
The MidSummer Art Celebration 5th Annual All Media Juried Exhibit is open through June 29 at the Wailoa Center, 200 Piopio Street in Hilo. I just got a call informing me that one of my images has sold twice and I need to have another one printed! The art in this show and the venue are both spectacular!
The 2nd Annual Statewide Juried Photography Exhibit 2022 opens at the Wailoa Center on Friday, July 8, 1:00pm - 6:00pm and runs through Thursday, July 28. I learned this week that three of my images will appear in the show - two images of birds and one landscape (that's new for me)! Even if you are unable to attend the show in person, you can join the exhibit's facebook page to see the art after the exhibit opens.
Life is good! We're happy, healthy, and loving our outings, exploring and birding the island. Plus, we are in the midst of planning an island hop in order to camp and bird. We used to camp in Colorado regularly and are excited to do the same here, without the moose, snakes, and mountain lions. Hawaiian camping is a new and exciting prospect!
