Mark Your Calendars for Hawai'i Nei!

Hawaiʻi Nei Art Show is a unique juried art exhibit featuring the work of Hawaiʻi island residents. The main subjects of pieces are species native to Hawaiʻi Island found from ridge to reef (arrived naturally without the help of humans) either endemic or indigenous.

Exhibition Opening: Friday, November 5

Location: Wailoa Arts & Cultural Center, 200 Piopio Street in Hilo

(Note that the Center closed due to the pandemic but will officially reopen for Hawaiʻi Nei in November!)

Hawaiʻi nei means literally, "Hawaiʻi here" and is often translated as this beloved Hawaiʻi. This show is an opportunity to not only appreciate the work of local artists but is also an opportunity to celebrate this incredibly beautiful and unique island. Plus, a portion of the proceeds generated by art sales during the exhibition will go towards funding native species protection and management as well as environmental education programs.

I am excited to see the wonderful work exhibited and to be showing four of my photos in this show, which runs into December. Mark your calendars to see the show in person and/or follow the exhibit on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/HawaiiNei
